Basic Family History/Genealogy.


Description - this course provides tuition in the basics of Family History research. It is divided into five sessions which will provide the beginner with all the knowledge needed to research their family back to the 16th century.

  • Week 1 - The philosophy of Family Hisroy research.

  • Week 2 - Record keeping.

  • Week 3 - Primary sources.

  • Week 4 - Secondary sources.

  • Week 5 - Use of the computer in Family History.

    • Duration - 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

    Venue - Venue will be advised prior to enrolment.

    Handouts - Course members will receive a folder containing the text of all the lectures plus significant other informative handouts.

    Cost - Members : £15.00 per person. Non-members : £30.00 per person.
